Now for the crazy part...on Monday morning we found out that we had a leak in our sink and water on the floor that would not go away no matter how many times we wiped it up. We finally realized that every time we stepped on the wood floor, water would ooze up. NOT GOOD! We had a plumber come out who told us that we would have a major problem with mold if we didn't get the floor ripped out and the cabinets dried. He recommended a company that would work with our insurance to get the problem fixed. The guy showed up an hour and a half later (around 8 pm) and we discovered that our entire kitchen floor was ruined and some of our cabinets would have to be ripped out. He placed four extremely loud fans in front of the cabinets and told us that they would have to run nonstop for a few DAYS in order to dry out the cabinets. The fans were so loud that you really couldn't hear the person sitting next to you without yelling at them. They were horrible. Pockets would not leave our bedroom because they scared her so much that we had to move them into our bathroom. The good news is that they are gone (they company took them this morning) but the bad news is that they didn't really dry the cabinet where the leak was. We have to have that one replaced. I am SO happy that those stupid fans are gone! We can actually watch TV in our living room again instead of all four of us having to squeeze on our bed to watch TV.
We are now waiting on our insurance agent to come on Monday to assess the damage and give us the money to have everything fixed. I think we are going to look at tile flooring instead of wood just in case something like that happens again. I like tile a lot anyway! But I am going to miss the wood laminate floors.
Today, Michael and I went to check out a pediatrician and we loved him! The office is only 2 minutes away from our house, they see sick kids on the Saturdays, the Dr. will come see Addi in the hospital, they have an answering nurse and an on call doctor at night, and much more! I feel like we found our doctor and there is no reason to look into anyone else. We are really excited to have this doctor (isn't it funny how quickly our interests change?).
After that appointment, we went to the OB. Even though I am scheduled to be induced on the 5th, he said that it may or may not happen...it just depends on what my cervix is doing. He said that if I am already dilated and my cervix is ripe, then there is no reason to not go through with the induction. However, if my cervix is completely closed and long then we will wait a week and check again. I also found out that I will be able to have the epidural even though I am on aspirin, which is fantastic news! I will see him again in 2 weeks and then I begin my once a week visits. I am going to be check for strep B at the next visit.
Over all, it has been a wonderful day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Much love to all of you and your families :-) I will have more to post later.
